Facilities

St. Michael’s School, located in the city of Wilmington, Delaware, offers a spacious and unique facility that accommodates children ages 8 weeks through Pre-K and is designed for how children learn and play. Our school includes 16 classrooms as well as destination areas such as a large infant and toddler motor play room, a cafeteria, a large library with space for performances, activities and events and large, outdoor fenced age-appropriate play areas. We are a licensed and Delaware Stars 5-Star Level center. See more photos below!

Our school was the first in Delaware to be designed specifically for the care and education of infants, preschoolers and kindergartners, and now serves as a model for similar programs. Facilities enhance the learning process by providing a safe, comfortable and nurturing environment for students. Each bright and spacious room allows children to explore their surroundings, challenges their intellect and fosters creativity and imagination. Our youngest children are in settings that are stimulating and encourage the growth, development and exploration necessary for babies to thrive.

Our extensive, fenced outdoor play area was completely renovated in 2012 and includes several natural elements such as grass field, plants and trees as well as age appropriate areas for exploration.

St. Michael’s is a member of the CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program). Nutritious breakfast, lunch, and morning and afternoon snacks are prepared daily and served in the dining room. The school is handicapped accessible and equipped with a security and video-monitoring system. Laundry facilities are on the premises. Convenient parking provides safe, easy access for drop-off and pick-up of children. We are also located near several major employers in downtown Wilmington.
