Kenyetta McCurdy-Byrd is the Chief Operating Officer of REACH Riverside, guiding the $600M revitalization of Wilmington’s Riverside neighborhood. With over 20 years of leadership in education, workforce, and community development, she builds people and systems that drive impact. A visionary advocate, Kenyetta proves that great vision goes beyond sight to create lasting change.
Julie Bieber, Director of Educational Strategy, REACH Riverside
Panelist
Julie Bieber is the Director of Educational Strategies at REACH Riverside, bringing over 15 years of experience in education and nonprofit leadership. Her work has expanded early learning access, launched impactful programs, and contributed to securing a $50 million federal grant. In 2025, Julie was honored with the Community Hero Award by the Delaware Association for the Education of Young Children. In her current role, she leads major educational initiatives for the WRK Group, advancing community-centered strategies across all age groups.
Dr. LaRetha Odumosa, Director of the Office of Educational Advocacy, City of Wilmington

“Dr. O” is an education leader and consultant with over 15 years of experience in school leadership and organizational transformation. As a veteran educator, Dr. O has spent over two decades serving schools in underserved communities, leading efforts that have resulted in academic growth, budget recovery, and improved school culture. In these roles, she has spearheaded initiatives that improved student achievement, increased enrollment, and strengthened school operations.
As a consultant, Dr. O has supported schools and organizations across the Philadelphia region in leadership development, school improvement and change management. She holds a Ph.D. in Urban Education from Temple University, an M.A. in English Literature from Pennsylvania State University and a B.A. in English from Rutgers University. Dr. O is a dedicated advocate for equitable education and sustainable school improvement.
Jon Sheehan, Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the Governor
Panelist
Jon currently serves as Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Matt Meyer. Previously, he served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor John Carney. Jon began his career as a fifth grade teacher. He is a graduate of Wesleyan University and holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching from Fordham University.
Dr. Meghan Walls, Director of External Affairs, Nemours
Panelist
Meghan Walls, PsyD, is the Associate Vice President of External Affairs and a licensed psychologist with the Division of Behavioral Health at Nemours Children’s Health. Dr. Walls guides and implements policy and advocacy work for Nemours in the Delaware Valley, including Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. She also oversees Community Engagement partnerships and sponsorships. Dr. Walls is a thought leader in pediatric healthcare, particularly related to mental health. She has been featured in national, local, and popular media, recently recording a series on Resilient Kids with Michael Phelps.
Dr. Walls holds Gubernatorial appointments to the Delaware Early Childhood Council and the Governor’s Advisory Council on Substance Use and Mental Health.
